Leading Cryptocurrency Exchange in Brazil to List Shiba Inu

Mercado Bitcoin, the largest cryptocurrency exchange in Brazil, will list the Dogecoin-competitor Shiba Inu.

Crypto enthusiasts in Latin America might have a reason to some as the popular meme crypto SHIB extends its activity in a country within the region.

Mercado Bitcoin to List Shiba Inu

Mercado Bitcoin, the largest cryptocurrency exchange in Brazil, posted on Twitter about listing the DOGE-killer Shiba Inu starting 1 December. That offered local crypto traders an opportunity to interact with the meme asset on a trading platform they recognize.

The announcement on Twitter also included a Shiba Inu dog video, showing the do on military gear. Though the exchange did not explain its motive to list the canine-themed crypto, it highlighted that Shiba Inu surged more than 18,000% in 2021 alone. Besides Shiba Inu (SHIB). Mercado Bitcoin also plans to list Polkadot (DOT), Loopring (LRC), and Cosmos (ATOM0 later on the week.

Keep in mind that 2TM owns Mercado Bitcoin and is the largest cryptocurrency exchange in the region. The parent firm raised $50.3 million recently (in November) following the July investment round led by SoftBank that had the company accumulating $200 million.

Shiba Inu Rising Higher

Shiba Inu, referred by its avid fans and developers at the Dogecoin killer, has been among the leading cryptos in performance over the recent months. At some point, it satisfied the DOGE-Killer narrative as it overtook Dogecoin as the top meme asset by market cap. That was when SHIB surged to a new ATH to secure a spot in the top ten cryptocurrencies by market capitalization.

Nevertheless, SHIB suffered plunges after that. While writing this article, Shiba Inu ranks 13 by market value. However, more than 60% of holders enjoying profit shows that the meme coin is among the top-performing coins this year.

Shiba Inu’s performance in 2021 has attracted many exchanges to support the meme coin for their customers to trade it. Besides Binance, exchanges like Korbit and Kraken are among the platforms to list SHIB recently. Though the meme coin bleeds at the moment, Shiba Inu appears to have a promising future.
