OKEx Exchange Rewards Neeraj Chopra 100 OKB

OKEx Asia also declared 100 OKB tokens as cryptocurrency rewards for each gold medalist around the South Asian region.

The second-leading crypto exchange in volume, OKEx, announced 100 OKB rewards for Neeraj Chopra, an Indian that won the first gold medal in field events at Tokyo Olympics.

OKEx Asia also declared 100 OKB assets as cryptocurrency rewards for gold medalists in the South Asian area.

OKB is an OKEx exchange native token that offers users discounts on crypto-related fees. According to a crypto stats platform CoinGecko, the digital coin traded around $20.43 after gaining 0.2% over the previous sessions. Keep in mind that OKB traded in its highest level ever this year, 3 May, at $44.01.

Using the prevailing forex exchange rates, 100 OKB is worth over 1.5 Indian lakh.

On the news, OKEx CEO Jay Hao declared that the reward was one of their ways to celebrate the unrivaled sportsmanship showed by an athlete that exceeded human expectation as far as the games are concerned. The executive revealed their plans to reward gold medalists in South Asia with 100 OKB.

Meanwhile, the company stated that the rewarded athletes would access their tokens through their crypto wallets after creating their accounts.

According to CryptoCompare, a cryptocurrency data provider, Binance was the leading spot exchange as far as volume is concerned in July, valuing $455 billion. OKEx followed with $96.8 billion while Huobi Global stood at $92.7 billion.

Additionally, Binance also led the derivative sectors as July total volumes hovered at $1.4 trillion. Meanwhile, OKEx followed with $368 billion while Bybit had $285 billion.

Keep in mind that the exchanges require the winners to create crypto accounts to access their rewards. With that, more individuals will beware of the crypto exchanges and cryptocurrencies.

Meanwhile, other exchanges also rewarded Indian medal winners recently through crypto. For instance, Bitbns announced Bitcoin SIP (systematic investment plan) for Indian athlete winners. The crypto exchange stated the SIP rewards:

  • Gold – 2 lakh
  • Silver – 1 lakh
  • Bronze – 50,000

It happens as most cryptocurrency exchanges target global reach. Sports events can be the best way to increase cryptocurrency awareness.
