New Versions Of Software For Trezor Hardware Wallets Have Been Released

Developers of hardware wallets Trezor decided to keep up with its competitors in the face of Ledger, which continues to delight its users with a constant addition to the number of supported cryptocurrencies, and also carried out a significant expansion of the assets available for storage.

This Wednesday they reported the release of firmware version 2.0.9 for Trezor Model T devices and version 1.7.1 for Trezor One. Both firmwares can be downloaded via the Trezor beta portal.

As the company explains, many aspects of Trezor Model T firmware have been  redesigned from the ground up. This includes rewriting the domain code with the Python programming language, which is more familiar to developers, while C programming language has been originally used for this purpose.

With firmware 2.0.9 in the Trezor Model T, support for Monero, Cardano, Stellar, XRP, Tezos, Decred, Groestlcoin, Lisk, Zencash and Zcash appears in the version that was launched on the blockchain together with the Sapling hard fork, held in late October.

Wallet Trezor One in firmware 1.7.1 received WebUSB interface support. This allows you to connect your device through Google Chrome directly without the need to use Trezor Bridge.
