THE CRITICAL VULNERABILITY OF THE FIRST COIN ON MIMBLEWIMBLE IS FIXED

As reported by the developers the critical vulnerability of the first cryptocurrency on the MimbleWimble, Beam Protocol, discovered almost immediately after the launch, was eliminated.

On January 3rd, the Israeli startup launched the first Beam cryptocurrency with custom privacy settings on the MimbleWimble Protocol. Beam is the second blockchain project to use the MimbleWimble solution, but due to the delay in launching of Grin, which was postponed until January 15th, it became the first cryptocurrency in the network to use this solution.

However, on January 9th, 2019, at 20:20 GMT, a critical vulnerability was discovered, which the company immediately reported, asking users to suspend the use of the cryptocurrency. The official statement was published the day after the bug was fixed.
