Canaan Intends To Develop Green Energy Standards For BTC Mining

The mining hardware producer, Canaan recently revealed about their new ASIC Mining Machine and revealed about their new mining standards intended to promote clean energy.

Vice President at Canaan, Edward Lu recently revealed about their new ASIC Bitcoin Miner and talked about how the company is going to evolve it standards to support the idea of using clean energy by this year.

Green Energy Future

Edward said that the usage and development of “sustainable” crypto mining technology, that is more “efficient” in energy is “the key” towards a better “future for human societies”, and to promote the concept of “Green Mining”. Additionally, Edward Lu also shared his opinion about how immersion liquid cooling tech can help to stimulate the transformation of existing mining frameworks into solutions that are much more energy efficient.

New Standards and Pillars

As for the standards considering Green Mining, Canaan has introduced four fresh standards regarding their Avalon series that consists of Products, Engineers, Mining locations and client service, bringing the concept of sustainable Bitcoin mining into action. Alongside the standards, the firm also revealed three main pillars of Green Mining that included, Energy, Miner and Infrastructure, referred to as EMI.

Shift in Ideology

Edward Lu stated that frameworks and infrastructures should be upgraded with time, making them much safer for the environment and climate. Many companies in America have started to focus more on how they can reduce their carbon footprint and utilize green energy solutions to conduct their operations. A few companies worked together to give birth to a special organization by the name of Bitcoin Mining Council, in hopes of making Bitcoin mining operations use cleaner energy.    

NEW Avalon 1266 ASIC Bitcoin Miner and Alliance

Talking about Canaan’s new ASIC Bitcoin Miner machine, named as Avalon 1266, the machine can produce a maximum hash rate of about 100 TH/s and an efficiency of 35 J/TH, enabling it too cross the company’s previous air-cooled mining machines in performance numbers, officially making it their best Miner produced to date.

Canaan also announced about a new alliance that has been developed with a European firm that focuses on Bitcoin mining using Solar Power. Majority of the machines operated by that firm are solar powered, showing its responsibility towards green energy usage and Canaan’s goal towards greener energy usage.
