BTCC Announced The Closure Of Its Mining Pool

BTCC, the operator of one of the oldest cryptocurrency exchanges, announced the closure of the mining pool BTCC Pool Limited after four years of operation.

In a statement, BTCC called the reason for closing the pool ” business adjustment.” The company announced that on November 15th, all servers will be disconnected, and from November 30th \, the activities of its mining business will be completely stopped.

Miners are recommended to disconnect their hashing power from the pool before November 15th . As the company promises, the rewards to users will be fully paid.

In June of this year, it was reported that BTCC has reached a preliminary agreement to sell 49% of its mining business to an investor from Hong Kong. It was assumed that the financial company Value Convergence (VC) Holdings Limited will pay for a share of $17 million but there were no reports of closing the transaction.

In early July, BTCC resumed operation of the crypto-exchange on a new trading platform. In October, the company announced the opening of a cryptocurrency exchange in South Korea.
