BTC Mining Firm Bitfury Hires Brian Brooks As Its New CEO

Brian Brooks has been appointed as the new CEO (Chief Executive Officer) of Bitfury Group (a BTC mining company based in Amsterdam). His former experience comprises of the services being the Acting Comptroller of the Currency under the United States, as well as the being Binance US’ in charge.

As per the press release, Brooks substituted Valery Vavilov (being a founder of Bitfury). In this year’s April, the leading crypto exchange’s US division (Binance US) hired Brooks to act as its CEO. Formerly, he served to be the acting head over the OCC (Office of the Comptroller of the Currency) under the administration of Donald Trump. Nevertheless, his term only continued for three years till his resignation from the designation in August, about which he did not provide any reasons.
