BITTORRENT ADDED MORE THAN 800% TO THE PRICE SINCE THE ICO
According to CoinMarketCap, the price of the BitTorrent (BTT) token has increased by more than 800% since the initial token offering (ICO), which took place last week, causing an unprecedented stir and ending in just 18 minutes.
The BitTorrent torrent client, which provides users with the ability to distribute files over the Internet, launched its own BTT token on the Tron network, in early January.
Later, the former leading strategist of BitTorrent, Simon Morris said that the Тron platform has no technical ability to cope with the volume of transactions that are necessary for the tokenization of the torrent client.
The release of the BTT token is presumably part of the company’s broader plans to create a decentralized platform for distributing content using the digital currency.
Note that the BTT token crowdsale was the first major ICO on Tron platform. BTT is currently trading at $0.001163, showing a 62% price increase over the last 24 hours and a total value increase of more than 800%.
For comparison, over the past 24 hours, the rates of major cryptocurrencies have changed not so much – the price of bitcoin rose by 0.08%, ripple lost about 1.2% of its value, and the ether showed a decrease of 0.20%.
