A CYBER SECURITY FIRM WISEKEY OPENS A BLOCKCHAIN CENTER IN GENEVA

The Swiss company WISeKey, dealing with blockchain technologies and cybersecurity, announced about the opening of the blockchain center in Geneva.

The Geneva blockchain center will provide blockchain startups with research support. The center will also promote blockchain technologies to facilitate their application in the public and private sectors.

The center is being opened in partnership with the Blockchain Research Institute (BRI), which intends to open centers in the United States, Latin America, China, India and Africa to exchange best practices between businesses, academic researchers and other blockchain centers.

Each center will develop in a specific area: for example, the Geneva center will focus on FINTECH, and the center in Argentina – on the use of blockchain technologies to prevent counterfeiting.

Last week, WISekey also announced the opening of an international blockchain center in Malaysia, in partnership with a subsidiary of investment holding Censof, whose Mr. Ameer Bin Shaik Mydin said:

“The potential benefits of blockchain will contribute to improving efficiency for our customers.”
