Visa Company Has No Interest In Cryptocurrencies

The CEO of Visa Alfred Kelly doesn’t see cryptocurrencies as real money. He says that the company isn’t interested .

Kelly gave an interview to CNBC stating that the company will not process any cryptocurrency-based transactions, because the asset is high risky and unpredictable.

“We at Visa won’t process transactions that are cryptocurrency-based. We will only process fiat currency-based transactions”, said Kelly in his interview.

Fiat currencies are represented as government backed currencies, which are legal, such as U.S. dollar, Euro and many more. Kelly considers Bitcoin as commodity that somebody could invest, but not a currency, and somewhat of a speculative commodity.

Recently Kelly said Bitcoin and Ethereum do not qualify as a payment system player, due to price fluctuations in cryptocurrency. Recently, Bitcoin surged to $11,700 after dropping to $10,000 since December.
