Arkansas University Is Going To Open Blockchain ​​Educational Center

On August 2nd , the University of Arkansas announced the creation of its new Blockchain Center.

The new center, which the university’s board of trustees approved in May, will become part of Sam M. Walton’s business college (Information Systems Department) and will be designed to educate students about “the value of Blockchain technology in the future of business and digital security.” This should also be the place where academic scientists, government officials and industry members can collaborate in blockchain projects that create new jobs and strengthen the business industry of Arkansas.

Mary C. Lacity, who joined the University of Arkansas this summer and was selected as director of the Center, said that the college wants to position itself as a leader in the teaching of blockchain technology. Specific terms for the opening of the center have not been made public yet.

A lot of colleges and universities understand the demand for education in this industry. In June, ETHNews stated that the University of California at Berkeley performs the blockchain certification program. In July, a blockchain university calling Woolf desinged to solve problems in the education sector using blockchain technology, and then that same month IBM and the University of Colombia declared that they were interacting to strat the research and education center for blockchain.
